Where else can you relax in comfort & witness the richness and the vibrancy of the state of Rajasthan No wonder the experience is labeled as "Heritage on Wheels". Inspired by an age of royal rail travel, the train features wonderfully rich, traditional interiors blended with the best of modern comforts. With its plush salons, embellished with intricate designs, traverse through Rajasthan on a journey through the former royal kingdoms of this state.

Embark on a spectacular 700 mile journey aboard the Nostalgic Heritage on wheels from Jaipur across the Shekawati district in Rajasthan. The lands once resided by the famous stalwarts of the Indian Industry, beckoning you to discover the cultural riches along its length.

She enjoys a sitting lounge, with a fully stocked bar ; it has immaculate services, two spotless dining rooms and a very functional, stainless steel kitchen. In addition, it is air-conditioned with hot water at all times.

Crowded airports/ railway stations , queues, check-in, security are often a test of patience and endurance, however in our chartered train we have dedicated staff and defined meeting place in Jaipur.

Casual dress is acceptable, there is no pressure whatsoever to conform to strict dress code - it is your holiday and you should feel comfortable. People do tend to dress slightly more formally, especially in the evenings, or for gala/farewell dinners on the 31st Dec 2007 where it is recommended.

On chartered cruise trains all meals are included and taken in the restaurant car of the train. Saloon service is also a part of the service. Insurance It is a condition of booking that you take out sufficient and appropriate travel insurance cover. We recommend you do this at time of booking so that your deposit is recoverable in the event of a cancellation covered by the policy. This would be an optional cost.

The whole train only has a capacity for 70 guests. The suggested itinerary which has been specially crafted for this occasion.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Saturday 29th Dec '07
Jaipur-Tal Chhapar
Arrival (1700 Hrs): Meet & Greet at Jaipur to embark on our memorable journey. After light refreshments at a designated point your baggage (after identification) will be checked in to your personilsed saloon.

The train will depart at 19:30 Hrs for the start of this historic journey on wheels Dinner and overnight at train.

Day 2 : Sunday 30th Dec '07
Tal Chhapar- Ramgarh - Mandawa
Early morning arrival at Padhiyara. Jeeps take you to Tal Chhapar Black Buck Sanctuary located on the fringe of the Thar Desert for sightseeing.

Tal Chhapar is the refuge of the most elegant antelope encountered in India, "The Black Buck". The sanctuary has a tract interspersed with shallow low lying areas, with scattered Acacia & prosopis trees which are representative of a typical Savana.

After breakfast on board, HOW leaves for Ramgarh (First step of your journey to open art Gallery of 18th century which depicts scene from Ramayana).The coaches then take you to Mandawa for lunch at the famous Mandawa Castle - heritage property.

After lunch Sight seeing at Mandawa, leisure time for shopping at the destination. Enjoy a refreshing cup of tea before you transfer back to the HOW for on board dinner & then Departure at 22:30 Hrs for journey from Fatehpur to Bikaner.

Day 3 : Monday 31st Dec '07
Bikaner - Gajner (New Year Gala Celebration)
This morning HOW arrives at Bikaner. After breakfast on board coaches will take you to places like Bhandeshwari Jain temple, Junagarh Fort & palaces for sightseeing & shopping of Bikaner's famous Jewellery, leatherwear, Handicrafts, Carpets etc. After lunch & tea on board, it's now time to get ready for the evening Fun & Frolics.

Departure by coach to Gajner Palace - A magnificent fort also a premier heritage site for the "New Year Ostentatious Celebration" Departure at 00:45 Hrs in coaches (Back to Bikaner).Arrive Bikaner at 01:45 & board HOW for overnight journey to Jaipur.

Day 04 : Tuesday 1st Jan '08
Arrive Jaipur.

Breakfast on board

Thereafter we depart to our respective destination.
