Day 1: Arrival at Pune

Upon your arrival in Mumbai, check into the hotel. Later, proceed to visit:

• Aga Khan Palace, is a national monument of India's freedom movement. It is well known both for its architectural excellence as well as its historical significance.
• Pataleshwar Cave Temple, presents an iconic narration to the rich history of India. It is carved out of a single rock, and  is dedicated to the God of the underworld - Lord Pataleshwar.
• Shaniwar Wada Fort, is an eminent historical landmark. The majestic fortification offers major buildings like Thora Rayancha Diwankhana, Juna Arsa Mahal known as the Old Mirror Hall, and lots of stunning buildings inside the fort. It is the former residence of Peshwas.
• Lal Mahal,was established by Shivaji’s Father Shahaji Bhosale for his wife Jijabai and son. Shivaji stayed here for several years until he captured his first fort. The original Lal Mahal fell into ruins and the current Lal Mahal is a reconstruction of the original and located in the center of the Pune city. Historically, the Lal Mahal is famous for an encounter between Shivaji and Shaista Khan where Shivaji cut off the later’s fingers when he was trying to escape from the window of the Lal Mahal.
• Dagdusheth Halwai Temple, is a famous Ganesha temple in Pune

Return back to the hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2: Pune Sightseeing

After breakfast, Check out from the hotel and proceed towards:

• Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, where one will find the touch of the medieval history of India that possesses the unusual collection of Dr. Dinkar G Kelkar who made this in memory of his son, Raja. The museum has several sculptures from the 14th century, musical instruments, war weapons, also gorgeous ivory, silver, and gold items.
• Chaturshringi Temple is dedicated to Mahakali and Shri Chaturshringi. The main temple also includes idols of Goddess Durga, Ashtavinayaka and Ganesha.
• Sarasbaug Ganapathi Temple, is a shrine for Siddhi Vinakayak Ganesh. Located at the foot of Parvati Hills, the lake around the temple is said to be the venue of secret meetings held by the Peshwas during boat rides.
• Shinde Chhatri, known for its architectural designs which has the touch of Anglo style and beautiful carvings made of yellow stone.
